Give warehouse work one Product record to agree on
Start with the fields the Product editor supports
The Product Details tab keeps name, SKU, MPN, type, owner, vendors, and image together. In a 3PL workspace, ownership makes the client boundary explicit before downstream work starts.
Product type is operational: Standard, Assembly, Digital, Virtual Bundle, and—when enabled—UOM can expose different supporting fields and record views.

Owning Team is fixed after creation; vendor choices stay within that product owner.
Maintain physical and customs data beside the SKU
Dimensions, weight, cost, country of origin, HS code, customs value, and customs description live in the same editor under their own sections. Operators do not have to recover them from a listing title or a shipping note.
International fields appear when international shipping is enabled. The page shows the supported editor fields—not manufacturer, category, ECCN, hazmat, or other legacy attributes the normal form cannot manage.

Keep every related workflow anchored to the saved Product
After the Product is saved, its identity and operating values stay visible beside the records that use it. Inventory, configuration, barcodes, vendors, purchase orders, listings, commitments, orders, work orders, and cycle counts remain reachable from the same product view.
This is the internal warehouse record. External listing variants connect to it through Product Listings; they do not replace it or become the source of warehouse truth.
