Inventory

Answer an inventory dispute with the records that actually changed

Start with the Product-plus-warehouse result, compare the physical location rows that explain it, and finish on the Product Stock record that owns lot and expiration. Each view keeps its own job instead of collapsing every inventory question into one vague audit trail.

See which warehouse-level values moved

Product Adjustment History shows the resulting seven-field state for Trail Bottle in Dallas. The cycle count reduced on hand, sellable on hand, and available by one while every other inventory concern stayed put.

The row isolates the Product-plus-warehouse change. Inventory History answers the location question separately, so unlike records are not flattened into one misleading timeline.

What the row establishes

The count reduced on hand, sellable on hand, and available by one. Commitments, unavailable stock, sell ahead, and on order did not change.

Keep both sides of a location transfer in view

Inventory History filters to Trail Bottle but leaves All Locations selected. That keeps the 24-unit decrease at BULK-02 beside the matching increase at A-01-01, followed by the one-unit cycle-count correction.

The transfer nets to zero across Dallas Fulfillment Center. The later count row—not the destination gain—explains why warehouse on hand and available fell by one.

All Locations keeps the paired transfer rows together, so the source and destination reconcile to zero.

Why the location filter stays open

The Product filter narrows the SKU while All Locations keeps the source and destination rows visible together.

Transfer balance

−24 + 24 = 0

Finish on the Product Stock row that owns the lot

The Product Inventory tab nests each physical location beneath its warehouse totals. Current on hand, pickable and sellable state, lot code, and expiration meet on the stock row instead of being retrofitted onto either history table.

A-01-01 and BULK-02 add back to 145 warehouse units. Lot BTL-2026-04 and its expiration remain attached to those Product Stock records.

The warehouse row carries availability; the indented Product Stock rows preserve location, lot, and expiration.

Lot BTL-2026-04 and its expiration belong to these Product Stock rows—not to the adjustment or physical-history event.

Use the right record for each inventory question

Traceability is stronger when warehouse state, physical movement, and stock identity stay distinct—and each screen answers only the question its data supports.

  • 7 warehouse fields
  • Paired transfer rows
  • Location-level actors
  • Product Stock owns lot
What does Adjustment History answer?
It shows the Product-plus-warehouse state after each event, including the exact delta for on hand, sellable on hand, committed, unavailable, sell ahead, on order, and available.
How do operators reconcile physical movement?
They compare the selected warehouse and Product with the visible time, type, actor, reason, and signed location delta in Inventory History. The current table does not expose an internal source-log link.
Why keep All Locations selected?
A location filter would hide the other side of a transfer. Product-only filtering keeps the BULK-02 decrease beside the A-01-01 increase so the move reads as zero net new stock.
Where do lot and expiration live?
On the Product Stock rows nested beneath the warehouse in Product Inventory. Those current physical records—not either history table—own the location, lot code, expiration, and on-hand quantity.
